B In the daily result of the second stage, positions one and three are occupied according to the overall classification: Viaro /Mussinelli in first place, Kahle /Göbel in third place, Norbert Griesmayer and Ferdinand Baumgartner in second place the Mercedes-Benz 220 Sb, built in 1959.

Seven special stages on the second day

The Vogtland stage, which thrilled the participants with a new route, had seven special stages ready . In the 'Göltzschtalbrücke' special stage, the aim was to cover 200 meters in 25 seconds and 100 meters in twelve seconds. The winner of the day Viaro /Mussinelli succeeded best, while cabaret artist Urban Priol with co-driver Thomas Möhle in a Citroen DS 21 Pallas from 1966 came second. Rainer and Sonja Meininger in a 1975 VW 1303 were behind them.

The second special stage of the day at the 'Schwander Berg' required 270 meters to be covered in 33 seconds as precisely as possible. Frank and Silvia Orschler from the Sachsen Bank team were able to convince with their 1957 Mercedes-Benz 180 B. Steffen and Wolfgang Roehn in a 1969 Mercedes-Benz SL 280 and Gerhard Merkel and Annette Abaci from Team Motor Klassik in a 1977 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider follow behind.

Fred Mahro and Jürgen Kerkow won in a 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL the special stage '650 years Markneukirchen' before Detlef and Andreas Kloss in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster from 1957 and Thomas and Alexandra Pollmeier in an Alvis Silver Eagle Special from 1936.

'Vogtland Arena' - that was the name fourth special stage of the day: Christian Bender and Friedhelm Hoechst in a Lagonda Le Mans V12 1939 were ahead of Christoph von Berg and Michael Schütte in a Mercedes-Benz 220 Seb from 1962 and Luciano Viaro and Enrico Mussinelli from the Audi Tradition team in an Audi Quattro 1988.

The triple specialty test 'Carlsfeld' was mastered best by the leaders Viaro /Mussinelli: Peter Krieglsteiner and Thomas Linhardt in a 1982 Porsche 911 SC finished second ahead of Georg Weidmann and Cu rt Bloss on a 1927 Bentley 4 1/2 liter

The 'Johanngeorgenstadt' special test was also a triple, won by Willi Meier and Ken Forbes on their Jaguar E-Type from 1968 ahead of Viaro /Mussinelli and Krieglsteiner /Linhardt . Donat Pflug and Wolfgang Orth from the team were able to take part in the last special stage of the second stage on the 'Fichtelberg'Schwabengarage on their 1962 Aston Martin DB4 Vantage. Thomas and Sybille Hörmann in a 1954 Aston Martin DB2 /4 Series 1 Drophead and Georg Dreier /Sylvia Hauenherm from Team Ford Classic Cars in a 1965 Ford Taunus 12 M TS follow in second and third place.
