Prior Design takes on the new VW ID. Buzz and shows first drafts. The project is picking up speed, a widebody kit is in the pipeline.
Barely on the market, already under the knife, at least virtually: The ID. Buzz does not only concern the manufacturer's Bulli fans; the relevant tuners are also preparing for overtime with the electric cult box. These include Prior Design, known for the "Extra Wide" department. In a first video, the tuners from Kamp-Lintfort show an outlook of what is to come.
After this initial announcement, Prior Design has now fleshed out the plans. The widebody kit should come in this form if enough interested parties place an order. Tom Belzek in particular is hoping for that: The 18-year-old son of Prior boss Andreas Belzek has delivered his first work with the design draft. Apparently so convincing for the senior that, in addition to his training as a car salesman, he will in future be responsible for all styling for electric cars at Prior.

You can already see an urgent need for action at Prior at the front, whose grille design gets an unflattering rating in the first promotional video on YouTube. The Prior solution: A dark, contrasting giant grille framed by side bezels with a matching applied lower spoiler at the end, which is equipped with an additional lip. The front sensors of the ID. accommodated Buzz.
The standard rims of the ID. buzz; this is not surprising in this industry. The answer to this is large format wheels from Rotiform, covered in a touch of oversized rubber. They are almost completely clad with Rotiform Aerodiscs and painted white. The side skirts are also styled to match, adding small fins at the back and pulling them down.
Hands are also put on at the rear. The top is individualized with a roof edge spoiler, which covers the standard border of the rear window. Towards the bottom, an attached diffuser-style skirt will complete the whole thing and minimize ground clearance. A KW coilover kit is also involved in the lowering work.
Conclusion
Deep and wide is the trademark at Prior Design. But there, too, people are moving with the times and are planning new electric cars. The VW ID is new on the list. Buzz, for which the tuners are developing a multi-part body kit. If there are enough interested parties, the project, which previously only existed on the computer, should go into production.
