Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance F1 Edition

Mercedes is celebrating 55 years of AMG and is bringing the F1 Edition special model from the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance. As the name suggests, the Formula 1 team is the inspiration here.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance with its 843 system hp is the brand's most powerful production model to date and is therefore closer to a Formula 1 racer in terms of performance than any other Mercedes model before it. It goes without saying that the reference to the highest motorsport class is obvious.,

Paintwork in the F1 look

The paintwork on the F1 Edition is the obvious bridge to the F1 team. Here, AMG relies on an exclusive combination of Alpinggrau uni and foiling with AMG logo and color gradient from gray to black. There are also red color accents. The 21-inch AMG forged wheels in a five-twin-spoke design, painted matt black with a red rim flange, follow the color scheme of the wheels on the official F1 Medical Car.

AMG promises even more performance and improved driving characteristics with the newly developed aerodynamics package. This includes a fixed rear wing in high-gloss black, an optimized diffuser integrated into the rear apron and a modified front apron with a larger splitter. There are additional air deflection elements on the air inlets and the front wheel arches and on the side air outlets of the rear fenders.,

Black accents on the outside, black and red on the inside

Also on board are the AMG Exterior Night Package and the AMG Night Package II, which flush high-gloss black painted add-on parts in the form of front splitters, decorative elements in the front fenders, exterior mirror housings, waistline trim strips and window frames on the body. In addition, there is the trim strip in the rear apron, twin tailpipe covers of the AMG exhaust system in black chrome and heat-insulating dark-tinted glass. The darkened AMG-specific radiator grille and type identifiers on the boot lid and fenders in black chrome complete the exclusive appearance together with the AMG tank cap in silver chrome with AMG lettering.,

The interior is like the "Edition 55" models for G- Class, A-Class and CLA characterized by the contrast in black and red. The black nappa leather performance seats feature red topstitching. The seat belts are also red and a red thread runs through the carbon applications. This can also be found on the nappa leather sports steering wheel. Customers see even more red on the AMG door sill panels with correspondingly illuminated lettering and bordered floor mats. The icing on the cake is an edition badge on the dashboard.

Customers should not see red when they find out the price. Mercedes is asking 23,800 euros for the F1 Edition package. A tailor-made AMG indoor car cover with F1 logo is included to put it into perspective.

Conclusion

Mercedes is extending its AMG anniversary celebrations to include the GT 63 S E Performance. As an F1 Edition, it looks a little closer to the company's F1 racers. If you want to give the Hamilton in your neighborhood, you first have to invest 23,800 euros in the special equipment.
