B rabus takes himself first the 6.0-liter V12 engine and gave the high-performance unit an increase in displacement to 6.3 liters. Brabus uses a special crankshaft milled from solid material with a longer stroke, as well as new forged pistons and connecting rods. After the Brabus cure, the twelve-engine allows a full 900 hp and provides 1,500 Nm of maximum torque - electronically limited to 1,200 Nm.
Rocket 900 Cabrio with 80 millimeter downpipes
The impressive data also come about thanks to the modified engine architecture. Modified exhaust manifolds with new turbochargers including a larger compressor unit and turbine were installed. In addition, there is a pressure-reducing stainless steel exhaust system with 80 millimeter thick downpipes and a sound management system that can be activated at the push of a button. On the intake side, Brabus has a new intake module for the Rocket 900 Cabrio, which is supplied with fresh air directly from the radiator grille via a new air duct integrated into the bonnet. The air flow is also optimized with a special air filter housing including an enlarged intake cross-section and new filters. A Gold Heat coating for the intake pipes helps to lower the temperature significantly. As a further engine change, Brabus is optimizing the maps for injection and ignition.
The driver transmits power to the rear wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission that has been adapted to the performance. It can also be operated manually using aluminum rocker switches on theShift the steering wheel. Thanks to the enormous power of the V12, the convertible is the fastest open four-seater with road approval in the world. The Rocket 900 Cabrio accelerates to 100 km /h in 3.9 seconds, and a top speed of over 350 km /h is possible. The consumption of 13.9 liters per 100 kilometers or the CO2 emissions of 323 g /km are not so interesting.
On request, there are 22-inch models for the S-Class Cabrio
Visually and technically Brabus had to redesign the aprons and sills for better aerodynamics. At the same time, these elements are made of carbon fiber. To ensure adequate contact with the road, the power convertible has 21-inch forged wheels that are 9 x 21 inches on the front axle and 10.5 x 21 inches on the rear. The tire dimensions are at the front at 255/35 and at the rear at 295/30. If you want it even more extreme, you can order 22-inch models with 255/30 and 295/25 tires from Brabus. For an even more spectacular look, Brabus offers the lowering module that brings the body 15 millimeters closer to the road.
Otherwise, the customers hardly want anything. Brabus installs door sills with an illuminated logo, as well as ambient interior lighting, aluminum versions for shift paddles, pedals and door pins as well as a speedometer up to 400 km /h. The in-house saddlery also fulfills special requests for leather upholstery.
The IAA study relies on a bi-color full leather interior in a combination of the two leather colors Mondial Vanilla and Mondial Black. To put the interior in the limelight, the seats and side panels not only have curved decorative seams, but are also accentuated with black and red seams. Brabus has replaced the standard wood inlays and decorative strips in the cockpit with custom-made fine wood parts made of black muscular ash, which in this vehicle have an open-pored surface. Alternatively, there are also real carbon elements for this model.
