A ustro-Daimler was an Austrian car manufacturer that was active from 1899 to 1934. Now a project team around the engineer Roland Stagl wants to revive the brand. The two-seater Bergmeister ADR 630 Shooting Grand study was shown at the Villa d'Este.

The 4,544 millimeter long, 2,087 millimeter wide and 1,331 millimeter high Bergmeister is built on an aluminum spaceframe. Two Mercedes 300 SL-style gull-wing doors provide access to the interior. The wheelbase is 2,637 millimeters.

Almost 1,200 hp and an electric range of 250 km

Although the majority of the project team only met in 2018, the story of the Austro Daimler project began in The year 2002, when Roland Stagl drew the first draft for a modern Gran Turismo that is to inherit the legendary Austro Daimler vehicles. In the meantime, Stagl has developed a hybrid drive train that will be used in the new Bergmeister. This relies on a three-liter in-line six-cylinder from Mercedes-AMG as well as three 600 kW electric motors and a 55 kWh lithium-ion battery located in front of the rear axle. The built-in charging system is designed for a charging power of up to 150 kW. The system output mentioned is 1,214 PS and 1,600 Nm of torque.

The plug-in hybrid drive is supposed to accelerate the 1,650 kilogram Bergmeister from zero to 100 km /h in 2.5 seconds. The developers give the purely electric range at 250 kilometers, the total range should be almost 1,000 kilometers. The maximum speed is 330 km /h.
