Bentley Continental GT Limited Edition Pikes Peak

B competed in the legendary hill climb on Pikes Peak in Colorado 2019 a Bentley Continental GT in the class of unmodified production cars and set a new class record. At the wheel of the Bentley, which is equipped with a W12 engine, sat Rhys Millen, who was also at the top of the podium in the Race to the Clouds. With the Continental, he climbed the mountain in 10 minutes and 18.4 seconds and improved the existing class record by 8.4 seconds.

Color dress as on the racing version

In memory of this Bentley is now launching the special Pikes Peak model of the Continental GT. It appears in a radium-green paint coat with black areas and thus takes up the paintwork of the record-breaking vehicle. There is also a body kit made of carbon fiber laminate. The green paint color is also used by the brake calipers and special labels on the Pirelli tires, which are mounted on the 22-inch special rims. The wire mesh radiator grille bears a painted 100 in reference to the brand's 100th birthday.

Of course, the interior is also trimmed to Pikes Peak. The dark leather seats have a diamond pattern with contrasting stitching in radium green. The door panels, the steering wheel, the floor mats and the covers of the loudspeakers also have appropriately colored elements. There are also Pikes Peak logos on the headrests as well as a graphic of the mountain race track including the record time on the dashboard in the passenger area. The Pikes Peak range is rounded off with special door sills.

Only 15 will be built

The special model is powered by the well-known W12 engine with 635 hp and 900 Nm torque. This means that the record Continental should spurt from zero to 100 km /h in 3.7 seconds and be a maximum of 333 km /h. Anyone who wants to get hold of one of the special models should also be quick, because Bentley only has 15 copies. These can be ordered from December 2019. As usual, Bentley does not give a price.
