Whether at a leisurely city pace or on the motorway, the power sedan with the coupé-like lines glides comfortable and thanks to double glazing almost free of wind noise over the asphalt. A more robust V8 voice would be desirable, the tested four-liter twin turbo does not go beyond whisper tones, even under full load. In the future, Abt will also be offering an optional sports exhaust system for the Audi S7 Sportback, but the price has not yet been determined.

Less than four seconds at 100 km /h

Not only thanks to the phantom black paintwork, the Audi S7 modified by Abt becomes a short and long-range weapon. With biting traction, the all-wheel drive claws its way into the asphalt with 680 Nm of torque and lifts its quite massive live weight of 2,053 kilograms from a standing start to 100 km /h in 3.9 seconds (Audi S7 Sportback series: 4.5 seconds). Even top athletes like the Audi R8 GT and Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 don't get going any faster.

The tuned Audi S7 Sportback easily sprints away from the competition from the four-door Gran Turismo camp. Time comparison in the 0-100 duel: 4.1 seconds for the Porsche Panamera Turbo with 500 hp, 4.5 seconds for the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG with Performance Package and557 hp. The performance of the Abt-AS7 is pleasantly linear. This is how you could imagine an RS7 Sportback ex-factory.

Despite 21-inch wheels with 30 mm tire cross-section and 15 millimeters lowering, compared to the Audi S7 series version, hardly any losses in terms of rolling and suspension comfort have to be accepted will. However, the ceramic brake for 8,250 euros gives cause for criticism. While the braking system is worth a new Dacia Logan car in both the Abt-AS7 and the production model with top values ​​in dry conditions, the system decelerates only very moderately in very wet conditions after a long journey without braking intervention. But the poor water displacement on the ceramic discs comes from Audi and not the abbots.

Two-ton ship on the racetrack

Even if the Allgäu tuner is firmly rooted in motorsport, the two-ton ship from Kempten actually does not belong on the race track.
