R and 55 million tires were sold in Germany last year, including 47 million in the passenger car sector. The Federal Republic obviously gives a lot of rubber - but of course, a tire like this is only a wear part. However, a very revealing one if you take a closer look at the profiles. Here the signs of wear expose on the one hand the handling of the tire and on the other hand the driving profile of the pilot.
An example: The profile on the outer edges is flawless, while in the In the middle there are hardly any indentations to be seen. It is immediately clear to the rubber Sherlock Holmes: This tire is inflated far too much Ergo: deflate. The game works the other way too. If the edges are worn, but the center is still in good condition, then the tire lacks the right dose of air. Ergo: inflate, please.
Rotate the wheels and set the track
But you can also go into more detail and look at the nature of individual profile blocks. If the edge blocks are shaped like small ramps that run up from the outside in and have sharp edges, it would be time to readjust the track. The situation is different if the ramp shape runs from front to back. In this case, the advice to you is to swap the wheels on the car again. However, if you drive directional tires, you should refrain from doing so.
It is relatively easy to recognize the sporty driver. If only the outward edges have been worn, it might be time to think about reducing cornering speeds. Or but,You are SO sporty on the road that you have a tire sponsor - then of course you don't care about wear and tear. You can find out why you don't care less when the inward-pointing edges are worn and what other signs there are in our picture gallery.
