Formula 1 in Malaysia and China and WRC in Jordan and Turkey

- This weekend, April 4th, Formula 1 for the Malaysian GP starts.

- The World Rally Championship has been a guest in Jordan since Thursday, April 1st. There the fight between record world champion Sébastien Loeb and Mikko Hirvonen goes into the third round. The rally ends on Saturday.

- Almost two weeks later, the next round of the World Rally Championship (WRC) is on the plan in Turkey.

- Start on April 18th Schumacher, Alonso and Co. in the land of the rising sun for the Chinese GP.

ALMS in Long Beach and DTM presentation in Wiesbaden

- The American Le Mans Series starts after the opening race of Sebring on April 17th on the demanding street circuit of Long Beach.

- Before the start of the new season, the DTM as part of a Show events in downtown Wiesbaden.

New: The expert hotline from auto motor und sport

- On April 13, auto motor und s port gives its readers the opportunity to discuss important questions about CO2 reduction with an expert on the phone. From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Daimler research director Herbert Kohler is available on the expert hotline to answer your questions about new drive technologies such as electric cars, hybrid drives or fuel cell technology.

New at dealers, special offers and special models

- The German Renault dealers is the new one Renault Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet now available at prices from 24,950 euros. The standard equipment of the basic version includes an MP3 radio, 16-inch alloy wheels and the permanently installed wind deflector. For the market launch, Renault is offering the leather package including heated front seats for all Mégane CC models from the Dynamique equipment line up to June 30, 2010 at no extra charge.

- The Citroen models C1, Berlingo , C4 and C4 Picasso /Grand Picasso are now available from the French as a special C-Chic model. Price advantages between 350 and 1,330 euros are attractive. Depending on the model, the special C-Chic models have additional equipment such as CD radio, air conditioning, additional individual seats in the Berlingo and automatic driving lights and rain sensor.

- Owners of an Abarth vehicle can now use the Abarth School of Racing optimize your driving skills. The courses, which are structured in two stages, can be booked from Abarth sales partners at prices between 199 and 399 euros. They take place all over Germany.

Celebrity birthday children - we congratulate

- Ex-Formula 1 driver Christian Danner celebrates his 52nd birthday on April 4th.

- Racing driver Ellen Lohr will be 45 years old on April 12th.

- F1 team boss Frank Williams will celebrate his 68th birthday on April 16th.

- Ferdinand Piëch will be 73 years old on April 17th.

Trade fairs and exhibitions

- The Porsche Museum honors the anniversary '60 years of the Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen location' with a special exhibition. Until May 9th, visitors can use photos to visualize the beginnings and developments at the sports car manufacturer's headquarters. A freshly restored Porsche 356 Coupé awaits you as a special treat. The Porsche Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

- The Museum Albertina in Vienna is showing the 'Cars' exhibition from the Daimler Art Collection until May 16, 2010. Works by Andy Warhol, Robert Longo, Sylvie Fleury and Vincent Szarek will be shown.

- The Autostadt Wolfsburg is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2010 with numerous special events. Among other things, the Autostadt will present the exhibition 'Icons of Motorcycle History' until April 11th.
