Recall for the new VW Polo (2018)
11.05.2018
V olkswagen announces a recall for Polo models of the current model year. The problem: seat belt buckles on the back seat. When changing lanes quickly with a fully occupied Polo, it can happen that two seat belt buckles are pressed on top of each other and the lock on the outer left seat pops open. There is already a solution. Now only the customers have to be written to and invited to the free upgrade. Until then, Volkswagen advises its customers not to use the middle seat in the back seat.
Apparently 191,000 models by Seat the same problem: the compact SUV Arona and the small car Ibiza, which is closely related to the Polo, have similarly designed seat belt buckles. These vehicles also have to go to the workshop.
