In this context, the new department 'Chairman of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars Brand Board' is being created within the VW Group Management Board. Diess is currently still a member of the Board of Management responsible for development at BMW AG. 'With Herbert Diess we have been able to win over an outstanding personality and one of the most capable minds in the automotive industry.
