V olkswagen is the official mobility partner of the German Football Association (DFB) and has set itself the goal of promoting football in its entirety.
300 euros for the club and maybe Löw will come
The 'Volkswagen Club Premium' is aimed at all amateur football clubs in Germany. The football clubs receive 300 euros if one of their club members - or first-degree relatives - buys a new or annual vehicle from Volkswagen. Regardless of whether the vehicle is bought, leased or financed. All the customer has to do is present his dealer with proof of membership of the club or, for example, that of his child - then he pays the premium of 300 euros to the relevant club. The campaign is limited to June 30, 2020.
As an additional incentive, VW is offering all customers who buy as part of the “Volkswagen Club Bonus” a training visit from national coach Joachim Löw to the football club they are sponsoring.
In the summer of 2019, the VW Group replaced Mercedes as the general sponsor of the DFB. The contract runs until July 31, 2024 and also includes the DFB Cup. Industry experts estimate that VW has the partnership cost 25 to 30 million euros annually.
