I The VW Beetle is wearing off the Base & Design Line versions immediately redesigned front and rear bumpers, which are flatter and therefore sportier. The R-Line equipment line (formerly Beetle Sport) is equipped with again modified bumpers. The additional ventilation slot above the bumper is intended to signal more dynamism. There are also colored LED taillights and new light alloy rims.

Beetle engine range remains unchanged

Let's switch to the interior. Brighter dashboard lighting, a new dial and a new dashpad design for Design and R-Line are available here. Further customization options exist with three new seat fabrics and style packages that bring even more color into the interior. A color-coated center console can set individual accents here. With the optional 'Black Style Package', however, the rims, mirror caps and roof are supplied painted black.

The Beetle is available as a coupé and a convertible in the basic, design and R-Line equipment lines. The engine range still extends from 105 to 220 hp. There are three petrol and two diesels available.

The prices have not changed and start with the Coupé for the 1.2 l TSI engine with 105 PS from 18,375 euros. The cabriolet is available from 22,800 euros. The pre-sale of all Beetle models starts immediately. The R-Line with the top engine (220 PS) will be available from mid-June.

New Beetle special models

The new special models and optional equipment are also available now. The Beetle Denim special model starts at 23,600 euros. The 'Allstar' special model will continue to be available to order at an entry-level price of 22,775 euros until the end of 2016. The Beetle Exclusive special model is available from 24,200 euros and the Beetle Cabriolet Exclusive special from 28,550 euros. Those who like it even sportier can choose the R-Line interior package. For this, 895 euros are called.
