V on May 17th to 20th Hutchinson Island in Savannah, Georgia, is all about VW again. As a US counterpart to the GTI Wörtherseetreffen, the SoWo is the annual highlight for the VW-US tuning scene and in 2018 VW did nothing to splash out and presented four of its own creations.

The Golf R Abstract Concept is based on a Golf R of course, but completely wrapped in a camouflage look made of foil. The wheel arches were fitted with 20 inch FR rims from the Abt range. Lowering springs from H&R are also used so that they can present themselves even better. The side skirts on display and the four-pipe exhaust system also come from Abt. The interior of the VW Golf is enhanced by a carbon steering wheel with blue contrasting stitching.

Large rims and deep lowering

To honor the new VW Jetta, which will soon be launched on the US market , VW has launched the Jetta R-Line SoCal Concept. It stands on 19 x 8.5 inch light alloy rims, which are guided on a fully adjustable KW sports suspension with full lowering. The look is characterized by a special white paint, a glossy black painted roof and yellow accents on the body.

The VW Tiguan R-Line Aero Concept is really wild. Equipped with air suspension, the body of the SUV can be lowered almost to the road surface. Black powder-coated 20-inch monoblock rims from Rotiform are in the wheel arches. They packed a Thule railing system plus a roof box onto the roof of the Tiguan. It wears the same camouflage design as the Tiguan itself. The black and white look is only mixed with bright yellow surfaces here and there.

The VW appearance at SoWo 2018 is rounded off with the Arteon R- Line highlight concept. Here the tuners left it with a bright yellow paintwork, which was combined with 20-inch Vossen light alloy wheels and a substantial lowering from H&R.

The Atlas Tanner, which was already presented at SEMA, was also on display at SoWo Foust Concept. Large off-road tires are hidden under the fenders with flared wheel arches. The front and rear aprons have been modified for tougher off-road use and provided with underride protection elements. There are also additional lights in the aprons and on the roof rails, which have also been paired with a rear ladder.
