Volvo software update: more driving dynamics for all-wheel drive vehicles

Volvo offers software update
Subscriptions & booklets

D ie Software developed by Polestar is intended to improve the torque distribution to the rear wheels and thus enable an even sportier driving style. In addition to the increased drive torque for the rear wheels, the all-wheel drive models benefit from better steering behavior, more precise and safer handling in curves and more traction when starting off. The new all-wheel drive optimization is activated either via the Dynamic driving mode or by switching off the ESP.

The update costs 999 euros

The software update is now available for all all-wheel drive vehicles with automatic transmission from model year 2019 with petrol and diesel engines based on the scalable product architecture (SPA) and the compact modular architecture (CMA) - from the Volvo XC40 to the Volvo V60 and Volvo XC60 to the complete Volvo 90 series (S90, V90, V90 Cross Country, XC90). The only exceptions are the plug-in hybrid models with T8 Twin Engine.

The Polestar performance optimization can be ordered directly when ordering a new model, but it can also be purchased at any time. The costs are each 999 euros (plus installation costs and TÜV approval, if applicable). The manufacturer's guarantee is retained in any case. The update does not affect the exhaust gas and consumption values as well as the maintenance intervals.
