D he luxury car dealer Champion Motors from New York is offering two unusual sports cars for sale through the Dupont Registry. Two prototypes from the inventory of the US sports car manufacturer Vector Motors are on offer.

The two WX-3 models served as exhibition vehicles at the 1993 Geneva Motor Show. It is a roadster prototype and the corresponding coupé. Both models should serve as successors to the W8, but never went into series production. The two prototypes are powered by V8 biturbo engines with a good 1,000 hp. The purple roadster has 8,908 miles on the clock, the green coupe only 2,623.

At the time, a price of $ 850,000 each was called. Now the sports car package is to change hands for a total of $ 3.5 million. According to the seller, the collector's value should be significantly higher. The offer includes an optional repurchase agreement by Vector Motors over 12 or 24 months, which is to be topped up by company shares in the amount of the purchase price in Vector Motors. The proceeds from the sale will flow into the development of the Vector WX8.

New Vector in development

The new Vector super sports car was first announced in 2007 by Gerald A. Wiegert but not fully developed until today. With its up to ten-liter V8 biturbo engine, the WX8 should bring 1,850 hp to the start and be up to 480 km /h. Another variant with two compressors should bring it to 1,450 hp. If necessary, the big block can also produce over 2,000 hp. But also a 7.8 liter V8 was announced. It should come as a naturally aspirated 750 PS and with supercharging to 1,250 PS. Here are up to 440 km /h in the specifications.
