
Analogous to other current Toyota series, the Life variant replaces the previously offered Sol version. Even in the basic version, the basic equipment of the small car includes, among other things, seven airbags, an MP3-compatible audio system, on-board computer, electric window lifters at the front or rear seats that can be folded down and moved. New door handles in matt silver, wheel caps in a new design, new light alloy wheels and new exterior colors evaluate the revised T oyota Yaris additionally. In the interior, numerous extras such as leather steering wheel, leather gear knob or automatic air conditioning are offered.
Optimal Drive for all Toyota Yaris models
For the Toyota Yaris The Optimal Drive units 1.0 VVT-i (69 PS), 1.33 VVT-i (101 PS) or the 1.4-liter diesel with 90 PS are available in all equipment variants. The latter is said to be content with just 4.2 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers and emit 110 grams of CO2 per kilometer. For the two petrol engines, 4.9 liters and 115 g /CO2 and 5.1 liters and 120 grams per kilometer are specified. The basic version with the one-liter three-cylinder is equipped with a manual five-speed gearshift. The Yaris with a 1.33 VVT-i engine and the 1.4 D-4D can also be ordered with a six-speed gearshift with a long-ratio last gear. The 1.33 liter four-cylinder petrol engine was also equipped with an automatic start-stop system. A six-speed, automated manual transmission is also on the option list of the Yaris.
The prices for the basic variants should move according to initial information at the level of the 2009 model year. Here the starting price was around 12,000 euros. The revised Yaris will be available from German dealers from January 16, 2010.
