At the Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota had the S -FR already presented in a civil version. The small, four-seater sports coupé was 3.99 meters long, 1.70 meters wide and only 1.32 meters high. This makes it a good 25 cm shorter than a GT-86. Like the GT-86, the S-FR also carries the engine at the front. The rear wheels are driven.
Gazoo develops the Toyota S-FR Racing Concept
The racing version now presented and developed by Gazoo adds something in terms of dimensions that corresponds to the lush spoiler and wing work is to be attributed. The front got a powerful spoiler lip and additional flaps. Additional wings grow on the sills and the rear of the S-FR is almost crushed by a crazy diffuser and a no less dominant rear spoiler. All aerodynamic components are of course made of carbon fiber laminate.
The lights were darkened all around, the roof was painted black and the wheel arches were fitted with black sports rims and sports tires. With the Racing Concept, the bonnet has two large ventilation ducts. As wild poultry, the dimensions of the S-FR increase to 4.10 meters in length and 1.74 meters in width. A sports chassis reduces the vehicle height by 5 cm to 1.27 meters.
The Japanese do not provide any information on the engine for the racing version either.
