D he G-Sports models should be from mid-2010 sold through the Japanese Toyota dealers.

Sports version of the Toyota Prius with aerodynamic fine tuning

The development of the Toyota Prius G-Sports Concept was responsible for Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC). The know-how of the test drivers of the Gazoo Racing Team was also used. At the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring last year, this team had, among other things, a Lexus LF-A (here is the track test of the racing version of the Lexus LF-A).

The G. -Sports series is intended to meet the needs of Japanese customers for individual, sporty vehicles. In the Toyota Prius G-Sports Concept, a sports suspension, aerodynamic add-on parts and sports seats create a racing flair. The rear wheels of the Prius are provided with a cover, which should benefit the aerodynamics of the compact hybrid racer. According to their own statements, the developers attached great importance to driving enjoyment. This should be noticeably higher in all G-Sports models than in the standard derivatives.

The engine output of the Toyota Prius G-Sports Concept, however, remains unchanged compared to the series at 99 PS (136 PS in combination with the Electric motor). The maximum torque of 142 Nm is applied to the front wheels at 4,000 tours
