At the top of the Ferrari model range is currently the LaFerrari. More than a decade ago it was the F errari Enzo, named after the famous company founder. 6.0-liter V12, 660 hp, 657 Nm: the Italians produced exactly 399 copies of the super sports car. One of them ended up with US designer Tommy Hilfiger.
Hilfiger only drove Enzo a little
The fashion czar rode a good 5,830 kilometers on the Enzo. Now the red sports car doesn't seem to be “in” anymore. Hilfiger leaves his Ferrari Enzo to the auction house RM Sotheby’s, which will sell the sports car on 19./20. January 2017 in Arizona to auction for him at a profit. An estimate is not given. However, it can be assumed that the Enzo will bring in a few billion. The name Hilfiger is sure to pull and boost the auction.
The fashion designer looked after his Enzo as well as his clothes. At least that's the impression you get when you look at pictures of the super sports car on offer. The combination of bright red paint, light brown leather seats and black interior will probably meet most tastes.
The performance of the Ferrari Enzo is convincing anyway. At the speed of a country road, it fries from a standing start in 3.65 seconds. He whizzes the quarter mile in a good eleven seconds. It only reaches its maximum speed beyond 350 km /h. And its body, shaped in the wind tunnel, produces at top speedstill 585 kilograms of contact pressure.
