D he organizer SIHA draws a positive balance of the 22nd Techno Classica. More than 1,100 exhibitors from over 30 countries offered their vehicles and tools, services and parts, accessories and automobilia.

More international - more foreign exhibitors and visitors

In addition to the number of visitors, the proportion of foreign visitors also increased significantly according to the organizers. 'Techno-Classica has thus clearly underlined its position as a world-class trading center for classic automobiles of all epochs, as a meeting point for the international scene and market barometer', says Anton L. Franssen, Managing Director of the Techno-Classica organizer S.I.H.A.

Franssen is also pleased about the successful combination of the European Capital of Culture and the world's largest classic car fair: 'We were very happy to make this internationally recognized important contribution to RUHR.2010 with Techno Classica 2010, which is a promoter and showcase of automotive culture.'

Best of Show - the most beautiful cars of the Techno Classica 2010

The Rolls-Royce Phantom I 'Springfield Playboy Roadster' was voted Best of Show. The exciting body was built by Brewster in 1931 and was offered by Frank Dale & Stepsons. A Mercedes-Benz 600 Landaulet from 1968, which was to be found at the Mechatronik exhibition stand - one of only 59 examples, was rated as the best sedan.

Motor Klassik awards the best classic stories

Motor Klassik also awarded at the Techno Classica 2010 awards - for the best classic story. First place went to a restoration story about a BMW 700 LS in the CN club news of the BMW Veterans Club. Second place was taken by the personal impressions of the Opel Admiral (KAD B) from 'The Reliable' - the club magazine of the old Opel IG. 'The history of the Alfa GT Junior Zagato' from 'Alfaclub' from the Alfa Club gets the thirdPlace.

230 clubs present the hobby oldtimer
