In September 2014 Subaru presented the Forester STI tS Concept in Japan. The study mixed the upright SUV body with components from the rally offshoot WRX STI. The Japanese audience seems to have liked the mix, because in December 2014 the Forester tS, which would wake up the athlete in any German forester, was launched in Japan in a limited edition of 300 copies. As a uto motor und sport found out on a visit to Japan, Subaru STi boss Yoshio Hirakawa is pushing for the Forester tS to be available on the German as well Market. A decision has not yet been made.

Under the bonnet, which does not have a hood, a two-liter boxer engine with turbocharging works , 240 hp and 350 Nm torque. It is shifted by a CVT transmission, an intelligent all-wheel drive distributes the drive torque to all four wheels. STI equips the chassis with 19-inch rims and 245/45 tires, 15 mm shorter sport springs, new stabilizers and strut bars. A reinforced Brembo brake system provides the stop power.
The look is characterized by fat aprons in the front and rear in the WRX look and plenty of STI logos all around. And of course the special model is also available in WRX STI blue.
The interior is enhanced by leather-covered sports seats with red contrasting stitching, carbon-framed instruments and a speedometer that reaches up to 260 km /h. The equivalent of the tS costs just under 30,000 euros.
