Spyker in dire straits again: arrears rent for warehouse

Spyker in financial difficulties again
Subscriptions & booklets

W he Dutch media reports that the sports car manufacturer Spyker is once again having financial problems. Spyker cannot currently pay the rent for a warehouse in which finished vehicles and various machines are stored.

The landlord of the warehouse in Zeewolde has already filed a lawsuit against Spyker and Spyker boss Victor Muller. The hall owner wants to terminate the lease because Spyker regularly pays too late or not at all. Spyker claims that all payments have been made and that the warehouse cannot be vacated at short notice. An agreement with the landlord provides for the rent of 16,000 euros to be paid in advance for the next three months by May 3, 2019. Spyker must finally vacate the warehouse by October 31, 2019 at the latest.

Last sign of life in Geneva 2017

Spyker presented the C8 Preliator Spyder Concept at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017. The open two-seater is powered by a Koenigsegg V8 with 600 hp and should cost 403,500 euros plus taxes. But since the presentation at the fair, no one has heard from the sports car.
