B already in July, Spyker was threatened with extinction after the sports car manufacturer was outstanding Couldn't pay off tax payments. An auction of the company property was already scheduled when Spyker CEO Victor Muller was able to raise money on short notice.

Victor Muller wants to continue

Now the financial means seem to be exhausted. Still, Victor Muller doesn't want to give up. 'This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it may be the end of the beginning,' Muller quoted Winston Churchill in his press release. The goal is to continue teaming Spyker with an electric aircraft manufacturer and then building electrically powered sports cars.

The Spyker story is not a success story. First the commercial success of the sports car division failed to materialize. Then Muller suffered shipwreck with the Saab takeover and the planned rescue of the Swedish car maker. At the Geneva Motor Show 2013, the Dutchman started a new sports car launch with the Spyker B6 Venator. To date, no B6 model has been built.
