1 986 BMW pushed the first M3 the start, now the 5th generation of the power model is available. To celebrate the 30th birthday of this icon, this summer BMW M is launching the exclusive special edition BMW M3 '30 Years of M3', limited to 500 units worldwide.
Comes with the Competition Package
As a tribute to the first generation of the BMW M3, the anniversary edition '30 Years of M3' is painted exclusively in the exterior color Macao Blue metallic, which once celebrated its premiere in the BMW color palette as an optional extra for the first generation of the BMW M3. The '30 Years of M3' edition builds on the Competition Package, which is optionally available for the production model of the BMW M3. The output of the special model is 450 hp. Also on board are an adaptive M chassis, an active M differential and 20-inch forged wheels with 265/30 tires at the front and 285/30 tires at the rear. The special model comes as standard as a manual switch, the 7-speed dual clutch transmission is available as an option.
M3 special model costs just under 90,000 euros
Visually, apart from the special paint, the special model is characterized by with black chrome-plated tailpipes, BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line features, M-gills with '30 years of M3' lettering, M sports seats, seat belts with integrated BMW M stripes and special door sills. The carbon appliqué on the dashboard also features '30 years of M3 1/500' lettering. When it comes to the interior design, the customer has the choice between full leather merino equipment in two-tone black and fjord blue or optionally black and silverstone with color-coordinated contrasting stitching.
The BMW M3 special model will be available from summer 2016. The Price? 10,000 euros over an M3 with a competition package. An M3 is in the BMW price list as a manual switch at 72,600 euros, the competition package is charged at 7,300 euros. This brings the special model to a price of 89,900 euros.
