P endlern stands between the Californian metropolises Los Angeles and San Francisco now a new service is available, the SleepBus. Contrary to what the name suggests, you don't travel in a bus here, but in a Volvo truck with numerous sleeping compartments.

SleepBus has a heart for late risers

Each sleeping compartment has its own Power supply, a reading light and a curtain to protect privacy. On board the SleepBus there is also WiFi, small seating areas and machines for hot drinks.

There should also be enough space for luggage. In addition to the usual travel bag, you can also take your bike or surfboard with you. Each sleeping cabin is designed for one adult. Children up to the age of 10 can travel free of charge in their parents' cabin. A concept is still being worked on for the transport of pets.

The SleepBus commutes between Los Angeles and San Francisco every day. The start time is 11 p.m., the respective finish is reached at 6 a.m. Late risers can stay on board until 9 a.m. The trip between the metropolises costs 48 dollars.

The SleepBus, which only started operating in April 2016, seems to be well received by customers. The sleeping cabins are already fully booked for a long time. Now the startup wants to convert 10 more trucks into SleepBus to cope with the onslaught. The new buses should be ready from mid-August.
