These models are to be supplemented, both in the USA and in Europe, by the long-announced Saab 9-4x, a mid-range SUV. For the future, Saab is thinking about a small entry-level model, a Saab 9-1, so to speak.
The new Saab 9-5 should roll out to dealers this summer. The Saab 9-4x, which is manufactured by GM in Mexico, is scheduled for the beginning of 2011 and the completely redesigned Saab 9-3 is to complement the model range in 2012. Spyker boss Victor Muller still sees Audi and BMW . Saab is targeting a production and sales volume of 100,000 to 125,000 vehicles.
