D he Renault Koleos should position itself between the Kadjar and the Espace. The new Renault Koleos has a length of 4.67 meters and a width of 1.84 meters. The wheelbase is 2.71 meters. At the front it shows the current radiator grille with transverse slats and slim, optional LED headlights. The Renault logo is prominently emblazoned in the middle.

The upper window line slopes gently towards the rear, the lower line rises slightly, which gives the Renault together with the exhibited wheel arches a certain dynamic when viewed from the side. At the rear there is a large roof edge spoiler and narrow lights that reach far into the flap.

There are also typical SUV features such as the protective paneling of the doors, large wheels up to 19 inches and the aluminum roof rails. The new Koleos is available with front or all-wheel drive. In addition, the ground clearance of 21.3 centimeters and the angle of approach and departure at the front and rear of 19 and 26 degrees respectively allow detours off the beaten track.

Renault Koleos with up to 177 hp

As engines for the Koleos have a choice of two petrol engines and two diesel units, which cover the spectrum from 130 hp to 177 hp and are combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable CVT transmission. However, only the two diesels with 130 hp and 320 Nm and with 177 hp and 380 Nm come to Germany.

When it comes to the safety system, Koleos pilots can, among other things, access safety distance warning, emergency brake assist, drowsiness detection and dead Angle warning, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition with speed warning, high beam assistant and adaptive cruise control count. In terms of on-board entertainment, the Koleos has two versions of the Renault R-LINK 2 online multimedia system.

The new Renault Koleos celebrated its premiere at the Beijing Auto Show. The new Koleos will be built in the South Korean plant in Busan. The vehicles for the Chinese market will roll off the production line at the Wuhan plant. The new Koleos will first hit the market in autumn 2016 in Australia, Turkey, the Gulf States and Latin America. The SUV model will be coming to Europe at the beginning of 2017. In Germany, it will be available from dealers from June 24, 2017. It can now be ordered with the 130 hp diesel at prices from 30,900 euros in the Life version. As an Intens, prices start at 33,800 euros. The top equipment is Initiale Paristo have from 44,500 euros. The 177 hp diesel with all-wheel drive starts at 35,150 euros.
