As reported by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), the affected VW Crafter Grand California are from the construction period 2019 to 2021. In Germany, the recall is still ongoing KBA numbers 1,210 Grand California models affected. During the scheduled workshop visit, the adhesion of the plastic hoods to the hinges is checked and the glued skylight cover is additionally secured to the hinges with rivets.
According to the KBA, there are no known accidents or personal injuries in connection with the problem. All owners of affected vehicles will be written to via the KBA and asked to take their vehicle to the workshop.
