Recall Citroën ë-C4: Springs can fall off

With the compact electric crossover Citroën ë-C4, the rear coil springs together with the bracket can fall off while driving.

The Federal Motor Transport Authority and Citroën have started a recall campaign. Citroën has noticed that certain electric vehicles of the ë-C4 type (see photo gallery) may experience a problem that has nothing to do with the type of drive: while driving, there is a risk of losing the rear coil springs and their holder. The manufacturer's remedy is to replace the rear coil springs. According to Citroën, around half an hour is planned for the workshop stay.

Potentially affected are 8,770 ë-C4 vehicles worldwide and 994 in Germany from the years of construction 2020 and 2021. The recall can be found at the KBA under the reference number 011620 and at the manufacturer under the code HWH.

Conclusion

Citroën has determined that 8,770 ë-C4 vehicles worldwide may have problems with the rear springs.
