Audi is recalling a further 205,486 A4, A6, A8 and TT models from 2000 and 2001 due to airbag problems.
Audi has been working on analyzing the aging behavior of the airbag propellant in their vehicles for many years, as other brands (outside the group) have had problems with it. Extensive internal analyzes have now shown that the propellant in the gas generator can age as a result of the ingress of moisture, which in turn could impair the function of the driver's airbag.
