D the Porsche modular system goes into his next round. After the evolution of the normal 911, it is now the turn of the all-wheel drive models. In contrast to the modifications that the normal 911 has already shown, the all-wheel-drive models naturally come up with the 44 mm wider rear fenders. A new strip of lights runs between the new taillights, which should have a more plastic effect.

Porsche 911 Carrera 4 models with revised all-wheel drive

New in the Carrera 4 models is the optional rear-wheel steering, the from the 911 Turbo and 911 GT3 models. The all-wheel drive, which is now controlled electro-hydraulically, has been revised. This means that the 370 hp Porsche 911 Carrera 4 sprints faster than its rear-axle counterpart for the first time.

Equipped with the PDK and Sport Chrono Package options, the 911 Carrera 4 sprints from zero to 100 km /h in 4.1 seconds (- 0.4 s compared to the previous model), the S model in 3.8 seconds (- 0.3 s). The convertibles and the 911 Targa 4 with comparable equipment need a little longer, plus 0.2 seconds. The maximum speeds are between 287 km /h and 305 km /h, depending on the model and equipment.

The consumption of the all-wheel drive vehicle drops by 0.8 liters in the 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet with PDK to 7.9 l /100 km; In the 911 Carrera S Cabriolet and the 911 Targa 4S, each with PDK, consumption is even reduced by 1.2 liters to 8.0 l /100 km.

The new Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Targa 4 are coming in Germany from the end of January 2016. The Carrera 4 then costs from 103,983 euros, the 4S at least 118,144 euros. The basic prices for the convertible and the Targa are 117,073 and 131,234 euros, respectively.
