Another e-car startup? Yes, but EVUM Motors is different, because the aCar is a compact, all-wheel drive and multifunctional electric van that its builders designed specifically for developing countries.
What originally started as a research project at the Technical University of Munich has now grown into the start-up EVUM Motors, headed by Sascha Koberstaedt as founder and CEO. In the Moove Podcast, the young doctoral student reports how he gets his everyday university life under one roof with work as CEO, what special requirements are placed on a car in Africa and how he wants to sell the car there for only $ 10,000. He also talks about how important investors are for such a project and why their know-how is often more important than their money.
He also explains why there is so much demand for the aCar in Germany, why the aCar is not available for less than 22,000 euros in this country and why performance and range are not always the most important criteria for an electric car are.
