The side mirrors are adjusted electrically and can be heated as standard. If the correct sitting position is set, the 1.60-meter woman or the 1.90-meter man can see the street well. The view to the rear could be more informative, but the narrow rear window and the wide C-pillars that taper downwards know how to prevent this. The parking aid at the rear is installed as standard in the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4, the sensors at the front are available for an extra charge of 200 euros. The basic price for the very well-equipped hybrid crossover is 36,150 euros.
Two-zone automatic air conditioning at no extra charge
The right temperature is ensured in the interior free of charge: The automatic air conditioning is divided into two zones, so that the driver and front passenger do not have to argue about a few degrees back or forth, but each can turn their own cog. The central control panel is located on the center console above the climate controls. All buttons surround the rotary pushbutton: to the left of this the functions of the audio system are controlled, which is fitted as standard with radio, MP3-compatible CD player and USB port, to the right of which is the number and letter field. The gaps between the individual keys are usually the home of dust, crumbs and pollen - not so in the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4: One-piece plastic key fields are attached here that are not only cleaned with a wipe, but are also nice to touch.
Navi is in the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 series
The navigation system WIP Com 3D, which is standard on board in the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4, is controlled with the rotary push button in the middle. The operation itself is simple, you just have to get used to the two-part turn-push button: To scroll through a list of radio stations, destinations or letters, you turn the outer wheel, for example to close a whole line in the list of letters skip you tilt the inner button, to confirm you press it. That sounds more awkward than it is; after a few minutes it is done automatically from the finger joint. Above thatThere are seven toggle switches in a row in the central control panel, which can be used to operate the hazard warning lights, for example - it doesn't matter in which direction you tip.
If we walk further back on the center console, we come to a spacious storage compartment. No matter what you have misplaced and are looking like crazy at home - keys, USB cable, cell phone, the two-liter water bottle, credit cards, last week's sandwich or even your toiletry bag - take a look in this compartment. Chances are all of these things are in there. And the chance that the sandwich is still consumable, because the large compartment, which can swallow an arm up to above the elbow, is ventilated. When you have finally fished your USB cable out of this depth, you can connect your MP3 player or smartphone to the interface in the lid of the storage compartment and listen to your own playlists. The sound quality is not intoxicating: there is a lack of space, crisp bass and full mids.
1.90 meters in the rear enough space on all sides
There is enough space in the rear of the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4. Colleague Thomas Gerhardt comfortably transports his 1.90 meters in the back seat and has enough space on all sides - it would even be enough for a wild Afro hairdresser. The storage compartments in the doors, front and rear, also pack away a lot. The glove compartment can be declared as absolutely sufficient, especially because there is another fold-out compartment under the steering wheel.
It gets even bigger when you look at the rear of the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4: the access to the 432 A trunk with a capacity of up to 1,241 liters reveals two flaps - one up, one down. Very long arms are required to lift out soda boxes that are at the very back of the luggage compartment or lighter objects that have moved towards the back of the seat during the journey. There is a twelve-volt connection on the left - practical for the obligatory cool box on the way to summer vacation. The backrest of the middle rear seat can be folded down to form the armrest. If you move the second element, a hatch is created and long skis can be loaded through.
The backseat backs of the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 are catapults
The rear seat backs can of course also be completely folded down. To do this, pull one of the two levers from the trunk - and startled winced. The two-part backrests are catapulted forward as if there was something to be won. We catapult a few more times, just for fun, and then take a final look at the cockpit.
In front of the steering wheel in the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4, a head-up display is fitted as standard, on which the driver, for example Can read speed without changing the direction of view.
