Opel wants to move off-road vehicle production to Korea

According to the latest plans, General Motors (GM) Daewoo are manufactured in Korea.

The Works council rejects the plan by Opel boss Nick Reilly starting to pay for this shift in added value by waiving wages and salaries. The management is demanding a restructuring contribution of 265 million euros from the employees. In protest against Reilly's unilateral decision, Opel employees from all over Europe are to take part in a works meeting in the Belgian port city on Tuesday (January 26th).
