Opel supervisory board decides on Opel boss
The successor as managing director of Adam Opel GmbH will in all probability take over, according to GM European boss Nick Reilly. Reilly had indirectly confirmed this on Tuesday during the Detroit auto show. The Opel Supervisory Board is discussing the personnel issues today.
The car manufacturer has been fighting for survival for over a year. Reilly wants to present a renovation concept by the end of January. The concept is the basis for negotiations on state aid. GM has put the need at 3.3 billion euros, around 2.7 billion should be raised by governments.
