S if you look at the registration figures in the USA for 2016, then the Nissan Rogue ranks 10th with 329,904 registrations. In order to be even higher up in the future and to attract even more customers, the Rogue is now being accompanied by the Rogue Sport.

Dimensions significantly more compact

In addition to a slightly modified design, the Rogue Sport mainly on its more compact dimensions. The wheelbase was shortened by almost 6 cm, the total length shrunk by almost 31 cm. In addition, the Rogue Sport is narrower and flatter. The Rogue is said to have advantages, especially in the urban jungle. It goes without saying that the interior is also shrinking, but the Rogue Sport should still offer space for 5 passengers.

The look is also sportier. The front is lower than on the Rogue, the radiator grille - still with the V-signature - is narrower, the lower cooling air inlet is larger and the round LED fog lights use LED technology. In the rear view, the Rogue Sport sets itself apart from the Rogue with wider lights and a beefier apron. The flanks of the Rogue Sport are given new beads and modeled rear shoulders more dynamism.

Only one engine on offer

The engine range of the Nissan Rogue Sport includes only one unit. The two-liter four-cylinder petrol engine develops 141 hp and 200 Nm and is coupled to a CVT transmission. The Rogue Sport can be ordered with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Depending on the equipment variant, the Rogue Sport rolls on 16, 17 or 19-inch alloy wheels. The Shield assistance system package is always on board.

The Nissan Rogue Sport will go on sale in spring 2017. It will be built in Japan. Prices have not yet been announced.
