Z The Nissan Pathfinder and the Nissan Navara are in the middle of the model cycle a little refreshment too. The Japanese show the result of the wellness treatment at the Geneva Motor Show.
The new top diesel has 231 hp
However, the most important innovations on both Nissan models take place under the sheet metal. The new top engine is a three-liter V6 turbo diesel, which has 231 hp and a maximum torque of 550 Nm. The self-igniter, classified according to Euro 5, is a real puller in the off-roaders, the trailer load for the Nissan Navara is 3.0 tons, for the Nissan Pathfinder even 3.5 tons.
The well-known 2.5-liter turbodiesel has been revised. This now delivers 190 hp and 450 Nm. Despite increased performance, consumption is said to have decreased by an average of 1.3 liters to 8.5 liters (224 g /km CO2). The new exterior design includes a modified hood, a modified grille and a rounder bumper. These modifications increased the front overhang by 80 millimeters. The headlights have also been redesigned - xenon lights are now also available as an option. While the rear of the Nissan Navara remained unchanged, the Pathfinder has a new bumper.
Nissan increases value in the interior
New surface materials and cover fabrics should bring more value in the interior. There are also redesigned controls, additional chrome applications and enlarged shelves as well as a redesigned instrument cluster. The ESP, which is now standard in the higher-quality Navara pickup, is also intended to ensure increased driving safety. The optional reversing camera is also new to the Navara. Another innovation for both off-road vehicle models is the integrated communication and audio system with touchscreen.
The new Nissan models will be available from April 2010, the V6 versions will follow from June. Prices for the revised Navara and Pathfinder versions have not yet been announced.
