E in the year after the European market launch of the Nissan Juke, the Japanese manufacturer wants to explore the sporty side of the compact crossover. What could be more obvious than to fall back on the technology of the GT-R sports car?

Nissan GT-R engine in the Juke with 530 hp

So the body shell of the Nissan is used for the concept vehicle The Juke is fitted with a tubular space frame at the front and rear to accommodate the drive train from the Nissan GT-R. This includes the 3.8-liter V6 biturbo gasoline engine of the 2011 GT-R generation and the six-speed dual clutch transmission, the transaxle design and all-wheel drive.

In addition, the Nissan Juke R has wheel arches that are flared outwards and are filled with 20-inch alloy wheels. To match the sporty appearance, the compact crossover is also adorned with a split rear wing and sporty bumpers at the front and rear.

The Juke is also sportier in the interior. The dashboard has been redesigned to accommodate the Nissan GT-R's gauges and seven-inch LCD display. In addition, the seats were replaced by racing bucket seats with five-point belts and a roll cage according to FIA standards was installed.

No series production planned yet

After all, the Nissan Juke R should not only serve as a sporty concept vehicle, but also be able to move dynamically. The first tests should be completed in November, but series production is not yet planned. The motorsports company RML from Great Britain, commissioned with the Nissan Juke R project, builds only two individual pieces, one with right-hand drive and one with left-hand drive.
