Ford F-Series undisputed number 1 in the USA

The USA is a country of pick-ups -Trucks, so the Ford F-Series was the undisputed number one in the first half of the year. However, the buying pleasure of the model - 365,825 F-Series were newly registered - has decreased a little, after all, the 2015 model year is in the starting blocks. Nonetheless, the worst pursuer, the Chevrolt S ilverado also struggled with a decline in demand. The gap between 1st and 2nd place is still more than 120,000 vehicles. The Nissan Sentra (93,898) also entered the US market with a big plus of 41.3 percent. The third strongest 'performer' is the new Hyundai Santa Fe (52,005) with an increase of 26.5 percent.

Best entry-level in the USA is the Jeep Cherokee

The losers in the first six months of the year include the Honda Pilot with minus 19.4 percent as well as the Ford Edge (minus 11.5 percent) and the Hyundai Elantra (minus 10 , 9 percent). The Jeep Cherokee can call itself the best entry-level model. Despite its idiosyncratic design, the little brother of the Grand Cherokee immediately made it to 26th place with 80,432 new registrations.

The German flag was held by VW Jetta in 28th place with 76,307 new registrations (minus 6.1 percent) and BMW 3/4 in 43rd place with 56,657 new registrations (plus 15.2 percent). The VW Passat, which was listed in the top 50 in the 2013 annual accounts, was only 52nd in the first half of 2014. Its 49,775 models mean a decrease in registrations of 11.3 percent.
