S uzuki has a new bestseller in its range. The new Ignis small car has blossomed into the best-selling model in the Japanese model range, replacing the previous front-runners Vitara and Swift.

With the XC60, Volvo apparently did everything right when it came to the model change. The little Swede was the bestseller in the range and maintains this position unchallenged in the new generation of models. Let's take a look at Renault: With the small SUV Captur and the small car Clio, the French have two almost equally strong draft horses on offer. Not far behind is the double of M├ęgane and Twingo. At Peugeot, only the 208 in Germany really hits the mark.

Spacestar and X-Trail are bestsellers

While the 911 was able to underline the sports car side of Porsche in the previous month, it says In August, the Macan was again an SUV at the top of the sales statistics for the Zuffenhausen-based company. At Nissan, the X-Trail has now established itself as a bestseller, ahead of the long-running Qashqai and the powerful Micra small car. You can't beat the spacestar at Mitsubishi. The small car has been unchallenged at the top of the internal rankings for months and will probably not be ousted from there for the foreseeable future.

Hyundai diversified

C-Class is the absolute bestseller from the house Mercedes, but the SUV GLC also plays a big role. A-, E- and B-Class also produce plenty of units, even the V-Class seems to be well received. Mazda has positioned itself broadly with three well-running series. The CX-5 and CX-3 are the absolute bestsellers, followed by the Mazda 3. At the Korean supplier Kia, the SUV Sportage is pretty much alone in the hallway, while the parent company Hyundai brings in four model series neatly. Right at the front is the i10, ahead of the i20 and i30 as well as the Tucson.

Note: The registration statistics are the official data from the Federal Motor Transport Authority in Flensburg. The division into the respective classes is carried out by the manufacturer using a key number. The statistics can also show models that are not available on the German market or that are no longer being built. This peculiarity can occur with the KBA statistics if e.g. foreign vehicles are registered for the first time in Germany or vehicles are newID No. received.
