C orona orona here, Corona here - even the currently dominant pandemic cannot change the supremacy of the VW Golf on the German new car market. Even in March, the month of March, which has a low approval rate, the VW Golf is clearly at the top of the food chain. The first pursuer is the group brother VW Tiguan. As second in the top 50 ranking, it was only able to hold onto 60 new registrations ahead of the heavily performing BMW 3 Series.

The T-Roc is coming

The other top 10 places are also tight. the VW Passat had to give up a lot and is only fourth. The Ford Focus lurks right behind it. The VW T-Roc was able to work its way up to sixth place in the SUV boom - and there seems to be room for improvement. The Mini, which is seventh behind it, is also doing well at the moment. The top 10 are completed by the Skoda Octavia, VW Polo and Opel Corsa models.

Ducato would be top 10 candidate

We want to insert the Fiat Ducato here. As a commercial vehicle, it may not be included in our hit parade, but with 3,755 new registrations in March it would end up in seventh place. The Fiat 500 asrated Italian only finished 29th.

And what happened to the other 40 places? Mitsubishi made it into the top 50 of March with two models. The small car Space Star is at number 42, the Eclipse Cross at number 48. With the Tesla Model 3, an electric car is at number 31 on the charts.
