
W eil only cars since September 1st, 2018 may be registered for the first time that meet the Euro 6c or Euro 6d-Temp emission standards, numerous daily registrations of existing models that do not “conform to the standards” slightly distort the new registration statistics in August. Nevertheless, the new registrations in August should spread a lot of joy in the VW Group. It's no wonder that the VW Golf is once again at the top. The following places, which are occupied by the VW models Tiguan, Passat and Polo, were more or less to be expected. However, the success story of the VW T-Roc is almost sensational. Shortly after its market launch, the small VW SUV is already in 5th place among new registrations, a development that has already become apparent in recent months.
The top 10 will be completed in August by the Audi A4 , the far advanced Seat Leon, the Mercedes C-Class as the only non-VW group model, as well as the Skoda Fabia and the Audi A3.
Many climbers in August
Also directly Movement is evident behind the top 10 in August. The Skoda Octavia is in 11th place, the Opel Corsa - which is not considered a classic company car and has a commercial registration rate of 87.2% - has moved up to 12th place and the VW T6 is already in 13th place. The Opel Astra has advanced to 25th place with a commercial registration rate of 91.6% and is ahead of the Italian with the highest registrations - the Fiat 500, which has 80.7% commercial registrations.
Strong in the The Renault Clio (32nd place; 78.2% commercial owner) and the Hyundai i30 (34th place; 75.3% commercial owner) have also risen in the list. The Audi A6, on the other hand, has fallen far back to 35th place despite a high commercial registration rate (80.1%). The model change should cast its shadow ahead here.
Back in the top 50 in August are the Opel Mokka (40th place), the Renault Twingo (43rd place), the Renault Kadjar (45th place) and the Mitsubishi Space Star (47th place).
