The Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG has decided on various new appointments in top management at Mercedes-Benz. One of them concerns the chief post of Mercedes-AMG.
New job for Schiemer
Philipp Schiemer has to give it up after a little over two years. His successor will be Michael Schiebe, currently Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Board of Management & Head of the Corporate Office, effective March 1, 2023. So Schiebe is a very close associate of Mercedes boss Ola Källenius. As a result, the reporting line changes. In the future, in his new role, Schiebe will report directly to Markus Schäfer, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Chief Technology Officer, responsible for Development and Purchasing.
Schiemer is moving from Mercedes-AMG to Mercedes-Benz AG on April 1, 2023, where he is to set up the top-end customer and community management function, which is a key component of the Mercedes-Benz strategy. Most recently, Schiemer made a significant contribution to the success of Mercedes-AMG and also pushed ahead with the product offensive at Maybach and the G-Class.
