G The sustained growth of the European car market will be borne by the upswing in the volume markets in Spain (+ 27.5%, 68,118 new registrations), Italy (+ 10.9%, 131,385) and Great Britain (+6.7%, 164,856) and France (+ 6.2%, 133,170). In January, the German new car market contributed 211,337 new registrations and an increase of 2.6%.
Dacia with 3% market share
Little changed in the balance of power on the European market in January 2015. The Volkswagen group remains dominant with a market share of 25.5%. The VW brand is the strongest single brand with 12.9%. Ford remains the second force in Europe with a market share of 6.9%, Renault follows with 6.5%, followed by Opel with 6.3% and Peugeot with 6.2%.
In the three-way battle, the premium supplier Audi, In January, BMW and Mercedes have the Ingolstadt-based company with a market share of 5.4% ahead of Mercedes (5.0%) and BMW (4.9%).
Fiat has a market share of 4, 7% just ahead of Toyota (4.6%) and Nissan and Skoda (both 4.3%). Citroën only got 4.0%. Hyundai is 3.2%. The subsidiary brand Kia is 2.6% and thus just ahead of Seat with 2.4%. But Dacia is still ahead of the two and has now achieved a market share of 3.0%.
