V olkswagen was able to take five first places in 2010 in the eleven relevant vehicle segments . The gold medal for new car registrations in 2010 was the VW Polo for small cars, of course the VW Golf in the 'Golf' class of compacts, the VW Touran for large vans, the SUV VW Tiguan and the VW Transporter in the utilities segment excellent.
There is also a bronze medal in the middle class with the VW Passat and a silver medal for the VW Caddy in the Utilities.
Mercedes puts BMW in second place four times
Mercedes also won five gold medals for new car registrations in 2010. The Stuttgart-based carmaker can win with the C-Class in the middle class, The E-Class rocked the upper middle class, the S-Class achieved first place in the upper class just before the BMW 7 Series and sports car gold went to the E-Class Coupé . With this result, Mercedes relegated its Munich competitor BMW to second place in four segments.
New car registrations 2010: Opel wins four silver medals
Opel also seemed to have subscribed to second place in 2010 in the 2010 new car registrations by vehicle segment. Last year the Rüsselsheim-based company received four silver medals for the Corsa, the Astra, Meriva and Zafira. The champion of the bronze medals in 2010 is Audi. Four times - with the Audi A6, the Audi A8, the Audi Q5 and the Audi TT - the brand with the four rings had to climb the podium with number 3.
