New BMW 3 Series is 70 kilos lighter
As a uto motor und sport learned from corporate circles , the next BMW 3 Series will get steering rear wheels.
Currently, the so-called integral active steering is only available as an extra in the 5 and 7 Series. The new BMW 3 Series is the first premium mid-range model that will have self-steering rear wheels. Since the 3 Series will be 70 kilograms lighter due to the further increase in aluminum and CFRP components and weighs just over 1.4 tons, the car should significantly increase the gap to the competition in terms of driving dynamics. The new BMW 3 Series will be introduced at the end of 2017.
