The adaptive suspension dampers can be spread more between sport and comfort mode, have lower friction and respond more sensitively. This makes the car look more comfortable than its predecessor. The adaptive dampers, which are subject to a surcharge, are available in two designs: in a sporty version with 23 millimeters lowering and a more comfortable version that is 10 millimeters lower than the series.
Hackenberg is particularly proud of the new electromechanical steering, which allows the car to follow the driver's steering movements even more precisely. Again and again there had been criticism of the smooth-running Audi steering. In addition, the A4 has shed a total of up to 120 kilograms. At the same time, the drag coefficient was improved to a very good 0.23.
Even in the interior, almost everything has been changed. The cockpit has been completely redesigned. The range of driver assistance systems corresponds to that of the Q7. The new A4 has, among other things, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and traffic jam pilot. Even the seats are new and offer more sporty seating comfort.
