D he super sports car will have a carbon monocoque and over 700 hp, according to the Italians' initial information his. Even the acceleration values of the Alfa 8C have already been determined: the bolide should run to 100 km /h in under three seconds.
And there are also initial indications of the design. The hood is short and sloping sharply towards the front, strong wheel arches dominate the side view and house huge wheels. The lines on the side are designed to be undulating. The roof arches flat and curved over the passengers. And of course, the front bears the radiator grille called Scudetto, flanked by grim-looking headlights.
Alfa Romeo The Alfa 8C Competizione was only built 500 times. It was also available as a convertible version.
However, according to rumors, the new Alfa 8C is not powered by an eight-cylinder like its predecessor. Instead, the mid-engine model is powered by a V6 twin-turbo engine developed by Ferrari. The six-cylinder is currently in use in the Giulia QV and the Stelvio QV, where it generates 510 hp. An electric motor on the front axle - this drive train also comes from Ferrari - should be able to achieve the output of over 700 hp specified by Alfa. As an alternative, the next generation of the twin-turbo V8 from Ferrari could also work in a modified form in the 8C, this drive train is also designed as a hybrid and would do justice to the series name.
