2 The British sports car manufacturer Morgan had 006 for a rich customer tailored a coupé variant of the Aero 8. Two years later the Aeromax Coupé went into a small series and was manufactured in an edition of 100 copies. From 2013, the closed sports car will finally make the leap to the production model as the Morgan Aero Coupé. The closed two-seater will celebrate its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012.

Morgan Aero Coupé with aluminum chassis

Starting in 2013, the British will be producing a completely closed Coupé based on the limited special model Morgan Aero Supersports Version on. The Aero Coupé thus also has an aluminum body and chassis. The proven 4.8-liter V8, which comes off the BMW shelves, is also adopted. Shifting can be done either by a manual six-speed gearbox or a six-speed automatic. A generous trunk in the rear should make the Morgan Aero Coupé suitable for travel. In addition, the two-seater is only offered with full equipment. Leather and fine wood surfaces in the interior create a luxurious ambience.

The output of the eight-cylinder naturally aspirated engine is specified with 367 hp and 490 Nm. A sports exhaust system is also available as an option, increasing the engine output to 390 hp. The Morgan Aero Coupé completes the sprint from zero to 100 km /h in 4.5 seconds (automatic: 4.2 seconds). The top speed of the coupé, which weighs just 1,175 kilograms, is specified as 273 km /h, and the average consumption is 12.1 liters (automatic: 11.0 liters). Prices for the new Morgan model have not yet been announced.
